How old do I have to be?

That depends on which division you want to play. The league is divided into 4 divisions: the Dick Johnson North Clackamas Park Recreational and Delta Park Recreational Divisions are for those 65 or older. The North Clackamas Competitive Division is for those 61 or over. The Super Seniors Division is for those 75 or older as of the end of the current year.

I would like to play but haven't for a long time. Can I come and watch a game and get information on signing up?

Yes. If you are interested, you will need to supply your own equipment. Come out a watch and feel free to ask questions. If you still like to sign up especially after the season has started, please contact the league and supply your name, phone, email, skill level from A-to-D (A=have fun...D=pretty good) and include which division you’re interested in. Before the season, attend a try-out session.

How do I sign up to play?

Do I have to try out to play in the league?

If you are a new player, you may be requested to attend a try-out session where your skill level will be evaluated. You will be rated in four categories: running, hitting, fielding, and throwing. The cumulative ratings total, based on a point system, corresponds to an overall classification as an A, B, C, or D level player which will be used to place you on a team. Players reviews are typically done at the end of the season in preparation for the upcoming season. A player's rating could go up or down. The league tries to be as fair as possible to help keep the play experience level.

When is typically the player draft?

There are typically 3 drafts; one for each division. Usually done in early April. Just register for the division you want to be in and pay the fee. Managers will contact their teams ASAP when the individual drafts are finished.

Any ideas when a new player would typically find out when and what team he'll be on?

Once drafted and placed on a team, the manager will call/text/email the players and what team you'll be on. This will happen after the draft period.

Are there any "organized" practices prior to the draft?

This is dependent upon each team's managers.

Are both men and women eligible to play?

Yes, the league does not discriminate with regard to sexual orientation.

Do you have FALL ball and if so, when does it start?

The league decided to combine the fall season into the summer season by extending it out into early October. Game times are still during the day.
